Who looks after it

PLAY is the architectural programme of OBAMBULO CIO, registered charity 1215653. OBAMBULO CIO is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For questions or requests about your information, contact contact@obambulo.org.

Donations and Gift Aid

When you make a donation, we use your name, email address, chosen project, donation amount and payment status to administer your support, keep financial records and correspond with you about your gift. If you choose Gift Aid, we also collect your declaration and home address for the charity’s claim to HMRC. Choosing Gift Aid is optional and applies to the donation you are making.

Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and are not collected by this website. Stripe processes payments; Make transfers donation information between the form, Stripe and the charity’s Google Sheets donation records. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated submissions and may process technical information about your browser and connection. These providers may process information outside the UK under their published data-protection arrangements.

Our legal bases for using donation information are our legitimate interests in administering voluntary support, and our legal obligations to keep accounting and tax records. Gift Aid declarations are retained for six years after the most recent donation on which Gift Aid was claimed. Other records are kept for as long as needed for their purpose and applicable accounting or legal requirements. We do not sell donor information or use a donation as consent to marketing.

Enquiries

If you email PLAY, we use the information you provide to respond and manage the discussion, relying on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Please avoid sending sensitive information about people receiving care unless we have agreed a suitable way to share it.

Website preferences

This website has no added advertising or analytics scripts. It remembers your chosen project-page language in your browser; that preference is not sent to PLAY. Hosting and payment providers also process technical information needed to operate and protect their services.

Your choices and rights

You can ask about the information we hold about you and request access, correction or deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you may also ask us to restrict its use or object to processing. Some financial and tax records must be retained despite a deletion request. Contact contact@obambulo.org to make a request or change a Gift Aid declaration. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
